Birthday Blues!

Here is a birthday card I have made for a male. I find it so difficult to make cards for men becuase I love covering my cards with lots of embellishments (especially pretty flowers!). I had a go and here is what I have come up with. My stamp is one of the cuties from The Greeting Farm (*sigh!* how I love The Greeting Farm stamps!) and he is from the 'my guy Ian' set. I have coloured him with copics and added some sparkly spicas as well (I could not make a card without some form of sparkle!). I used a Martha Stewart punch-around-the-page for my background paper and added some metalic 'masculine-looking' brads to the papers as well.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

- Anyone For Anya? Recipe challenge; 3 papers, 2 embellishments (I have used brads and ribbon), 1 image
- Fashionable Stamping Challenges Challenge #14; make it a guy thing
Stampalot Challenge January Challenge; monochromatic
- Shopping Our Stash Challenge #36; winter blues

Beary Bright!

We are now onto challenge #16 at Hooked On Craft Challenges and our theme is "something bright". Now I love bright colours and bling so this was a nice and easy one for me! I have used one of the gorgeous little bears from Hooked On Craft called 'honey bear with flower' and I have coloured him with copics and added a little glitter to his flower. My cute bright flowers are also from Hooked On Craft as is my sentiment on my tag. My swirl is a Magnolia doohickey and I embossed my pink co-ordinations paper with my cuttlebug then added some bling (of course!).

Please join us for our latest challenge at Hooked On Craft Challenges! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's bright creations!

Snails In Love!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. It is now time for challenge #15 at Hooked On Craft Challenges and the theme this fortnight is 'try something new'. I recently purchased distress inks and distress re-inkers (I accidently found myself purchasing every colour, but my excuse it that I got them on sale!). I have never tried to colour with distress inks so I thought this challenge was a perfect opportunity to have a go. I actually found it quite difficult to do, but I had fun so i'll definitely keep practicing! My cute stamp is called "two snails on a heart" and is from Hooked On Craft. My gorgeous flowers and leaves are also from Hooked On Craft and are new items! I love the quality of the flowers and these new ones are stunning (especially the flower buds!). My background hearts were cut out with Spellbinders and my birds and small hearts are Martha Stewart punches.
Please join us at Hooked On Craft Challenges for our 'try something new' challenge! Can't wait to see what new things you all come up with!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

- The Paper Players. Challenge #77; all you need is love

- Delightful Challenges. Have a heart

Hearts For You!

We are now onto our January challenge for Bizzy Becs Challenges and the theme this month is "anything goes"; how easy is that? For my card I have used another of the beautiful girls from the Gorjuss Stamps range called 'I found my family in a book'. I coloured her with copics and surrounded her with little hearts which were left over cut-outs from my Spellbinders 'heart circles' die. My butterfly border was created using a Martha Stewart 'punch around the page' and my little green butterfly and the swirl are 'Magnolia doo hickey' dies.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
- Simon Says Stamp New Something; (My spellbinders 'heart circles' die is new)
- Totally Gorjuss Challenge #112; happy
- Victorine Stamps. Challenge #24; punch challenge
